This might be a good subject for a discussion thread. There are now enough subscribers to this newsletter—many of them very knowledgeable about music—to create some interesting dialogues. I'm thinking about testing out a more interactive approach that would draw on this communal expertise, and a topic of this sort could serve as a springboard for it.
