I am in awe of your wide and deep knowledge. Happy for you that you've found both commercial and intellectual success on this platform. But I love the way you write and the way your brain works. So many posts that were so interesting and enjoyable and thought provoking - the courtly love post, the Netflix post, the decline of the counterculture, the long tail, the peak of clickability, the molimo. I could go on and on. I discovers The White Goddess and The Gift this year because of you. And John Ondolo and his hypnotic guitar. Have I mentioned I don’t even like jazz?
