Love the idea of preserving music on optical film, but I worry that any kind of digital preservation will lead to the heartbreak of inevitably obsolete/proprietary file formats. Who knows if we'll be able to read an mp3 in 500 years? Heck, in 50? As a fellow archivist likes to say, "Digital formats are not archival formats."
